Away with Flabby Arms

Although VASER LipoSelection or VASER Hi Def (VHD) are treatments that can easily remove excess fat from selected parts of your body, it doesn't mean we can stop exercising or continue eating junk.

Follow these tips to maintain the beautiful body you have achieved through VASER Lipo. (Source: Woman Plus, Vol. 2, April 2009, Pg. 23)

1. You are what you eat
A balanced diet and good nutrition is the first step to leaner arms. For those who can't resist snacking and junk food, start by cutting down on those and try eating smaller meals each time. If you really need to munchm, go for nuts and berries instead.


2. Hit the gym
The arm area is one of the hardest places to lose fats. As much as we're tagged to the idea of losing / maintaining weight without exercising, it won't happen. If your arms are the main concern, increase the frequency of arm training twice a week and not more. In this case, more is not necessarily better. Muscles need about 48 to 72 hours to recuperate after traiing before the next session to avaoid over training.


3. Go the DIY way
Can't make it to the gym? Try these exercises at the comfort of your own home.

To work those biceps: Hold a dumbell (or 1kg bag of rice) with palm facing forward and curl it up to you. Perform 20 - 30 repititions then switch to the other arm. Repeat 2 - 4 sets.

To work those triceps: Grab the dumbell with both hands. Raise them high above the head. From here, slowly bring the hands down to the back part of the head and extend it up again. Perform 20 - 30 times and repeat for 2 - 4 sets.
